Tonight, Def Leppard, Cheap Trick and Poison will perform at Cruzan Ampitheatre in West Palm Beach. "The show is fantastic; we've been having a great time out here, if you can just imagine it, lining up 30 hit songs and watching three different bands."
Dall says the traveling portion of the summer tour has been insane. "We have a crew of 120 people, 13 buses, nine or 10 trucks, three airplanes and at least a dozen limousines. It's crazy and confusing. That's why I have to stand outside to do this interview!"
The groups were forced to cancel a string of concerts after a crew member's father died; Thursday night's show will be the first after a brief break.
Playing with Cheap Trick is special for Dall, who saw them play at the Tangerine Bowl in 1979. "They blew me away it was my first concert."
After the tour is over, Dall says he'll indulge in some down time, probably playing golf. Or maybe not. "Playing is enough of a workout for me, I don't need to do anything else, to be honest."
