Bret Michaels walked on stage to the tune of Guns N Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" he was greeted with a standing ovation and rowdy cheers from 2,547 fans. "Every time I've been here, I have an awesome time," Michaels shouted to his small but mighty crowd.

This time, Michaels brought his own Bret Michaels Band plus a couple of surprises.

Surprise No. 1: Footage from Monday's concert will be used in the fourth season of "Rock of Love". "Feel free to go insane," he instructed the fans as the concert began and Big John, Michaels' bodyguard, aimed his camera at the stands.

Surprise No. 2: Michaels, currently touring with Poison and Def Leppard, told fans that he wants to come back very soon. "I'm hoping ... come November to get Def Leppard and Poison to Des Moines," he said.

The singer's sweaty cowboy hat, shirt and bandana were being auctioned off post-show, with proceeds supporting juvenile diabetes research.
