January 13, 2005 / 266 reads"Nashville Star" is getting a complete overhaul in its third season with a new night, a new host, a new label partner and three new judges. The show moves to Tuesday night from its previous Saturday night home and premieres March 1 from 10-11 p.m. (ET/PT). LeAnn Rimes replaces "Access Hollywood"'s Nancy O'Dell as host. Universal South is the new label partner, and will provide a recording contract to the winner. Sony Music Nashville played that role in the show's first two seasons.
Joining Michaels as judges this year will be Arista Nashville artist Phil Vassar and artist manager Anastasia Brown of 821 Music Group. Comedian Cledus T. Judd will serve as a correspondent for the show and will provide color commentary.
