A one-and-a-half-minute audio clip of Bret Michaels talking to MTV News about his collaboration with American singer, songwriter, and actress Miley Cyrus on her cover version of POISON's '80s rock ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" can be streamed above.

"It was really, really simple," Bret told MTV News. "I think her first concert was POISON. She saw us at Nashville at the arena. It was her introduction into rock and roll. She's one of the few musicians ? and I want to use that word cause she can actually play and sing ? she's one of the few people who can pull it off and give it her own flair and make it sound good."
