DeVille and his new band The Stepmothers have just signed to Portrait Records, the newly launched record label run by metal guru John Kalodner. No word yet as to when the group will release their album, which will be produced by Damn Yankees/Night Ranger bassist-singer Jack Blades.

In related news, DeVille and Blades, along with Ratt drummer Bobby Blotzer and Great White singer Jack Russell, are planning to record an album as a "supergroup." That project, as yet untitled, will also come out on Portrait Records. Kalodner tells MTV that this is the first such "supergroup" project that he is planning to put together on the label.

As for Poison, that band is currently on hiatus following a summer tour. Poison drummer Rikki Rockett recently posted on a "Metal Edge" magazine bulletin board that the group plans to work together in the future, but only after DeVille and singer Bret Michaels "mend a few minor, but possible major, details on how to work together"
