Former "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul has told Hollywood Life that POISON singer Bret Michaels should fill Simon Cowell's shoes as the next "American Idol" judge.
"It takes someone who really, really understands what it's like for young people who want to make magic happen," Abdul said on June 12 at the Tony Awards gift lounge. "If he were to take that position, I think he would fit the mold perfectly."
"You've got to have passion and love for music," she added. "You have to have a great vocabulary in music and be able to understand the greats that inspired you along the way in your career."
