I had my second follow up/scope with Dr. Friedman. Lymph node is down to appx 15% of when it was first presented. (Good news!)
Tongue is about the same, but still healing from biopsy. (Biopsies were negative.) Still, not sure what is going on, so...
Dr. Friedman would like to scope me again in two weeks and if the tongue swelling has not resolved he'd like me to see a Dr. who does a robotic procedure to possibly remove the tissue. This would do two things:
1. Biopsy once again in a larger way that particular area to reassure no presence of cancer to be on the ultra safe side.
2. Remove the infected tissue.
No fun, but the news could have been a hell of lot worse!!!
