Former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler visited Rockett Drum Works (owned by POISON drummer Rikki Rockett) in Woodland Hills, California this past Saturday to check in on the construction of his very own Rockett premium maple kit. While he was there, he also had the opportunity to try out some of the other kits in the RDW line. "They all play great!" he said. "Great sound! I'm so happy to be working with Rikki and everybody here!"

Rikki commented: "I have known Steven for about 24 years. We go way back to when all of us were toughing it out on the famous Hollywood rock circuit. Back then, we didn't know where our next meal was coming from, let alone our next pair of drum sticks! Today it's nice to be able to hand the keys to Steven on what I consider to be the Ferrari of drum kits."

Indeed, Steven's new kit is awesome! There are premium Drum Workshop bass spurs and tom legs, and custom billet aluminum single-point lugs used on all drums. The hardware is custom powder-coated transparent candy red. The drums' edges are cut at a double 45 degree, and the interiors are sanded smooth. Mark Remling of Coast Airbrush provided the stunning custom finish, the Tequila Sunrise burst.

"Steven has been through some amazing times and some really rough times," Rikki continued. "Somehow, he can sit right down and play drums like he never missed a beat anywhere in his life. I believe that is because it is coming from the soul and not from memory. This is the single thing that separates a drummer from a drum artist. Steven is indeed an artist. We here at Rockett Drum Works are proud to have him on our roster."
